*** David Parker Jury Trial, Concord District Court ***
Thursday, October 20th 2005

The trial of David Parker scheduled for Thursday, October 20th, at
8:00 AM at the Concord District Courthouse did not take place. The Middlesex
District Attorney decided not to prosecute the case and has dropped
the trespassing charges against David Parker.

According to Attorney Jeffrey Denner, there has been no admission of guilt,
and therefore David Parker is still presumed innocent of any wrongdoing.

However, the new Lexington School Superintendent, Paul Ash, still refuses
to lift the restraining order against David Parker, which prevents him from setting
foot on any Lexington Public School property.  This is unfair treatment and is
nothing more than retaliation against David for daring to demand that the school
obey Massachusetts Law and provide parental notification as required.

Neil Tassel, Lawyer for Parker Defense, and Lexington Resident
Many in Lexington are anything but accepting of other viewpoints ... they are accepting if you fall into line ... but if you dare stand up for yourself or your viewpoint, you will be ostracized and maligned ... on a personal level, I have found even if you represent someone with different viewpoints you will be treated similarly ... this is the hyped diversity of Lexington?  (link to Windows Media File)

David Parker remarks at Parental Rights Rally
What free U.S. citizen must ask permission to vote or be in the presence of his own son ... during my arrest on April 27th, by all accounts of the incident, I conducted myself in a civil, non-violent, respectful manner ... this no trespass order banning me from all schools serves no purpose other than to bully and be hurtful to my family and make us feel unwelcomed in Lexington (link to Windows Media File)

First Amendment Lawyer Harvey Silverglate on WGBH “Greater Boston”
(Interviewed by John Carroll)
“Do the Parkers have the law on their side, asking the schools to alert them?”
Yes they do, and that right is a constitutional right ... to be free from coercive indoctrination ... we do have to draw a clear line between what is education and what is indoctrination ... (link to Windows Media File)

“Can a parent go in and say they have an issue and want their kids opted out?”
The question is when this kind of education lapses into trying to say to the child “oh by the way that all these families are equal and they’re all equally acceptable” ... I don’t believe that the public school system has a right to inculcate these ideas into children’s heads when the parents object ... (link to Windows Media File)
